Holiday park

Achieving a solid foundation with innovative technology. That’s what we do every day. We specialise in project-based work with screw foundations and that is precisely why we are so proud of this project.

In 2022, we received a new request from Roompot Holiday Parks to supply & install the foundation for a new holiday park in Zeeland (Netherlands). Having enjoyed a successful collaboration with the customer previously, we were keen to get involved with another project. This one required construction of a new park totalling 13,000 m², with 87 homes of varying specifications – a great challenge!

Distinctive

Besides our innovative technology, our high stock level is distinctive in the market, which allowed us to start within three weeks of the final award. Together with the client, we started working on the calculations for the optimum specification of screw foundation for each type of house.

Good preparation

During preparation, we carried out pile load tests on site in three phases. This involved digital recording of vertical forces against displacements in a PLC and translated into detailed load vs. displacement graphs. In this way, we provide exact insight into how a screw foundation will behave under the influence of site-specific pile loads. During installation of the test piles, we also measure torsions. These serve as reference values and are reflected in the torsion moments during installation of the screw foundations.

Pleasant cooperation

We also took into account external factors in the planning, such as weather conditions that could cause delays and site accessibility during the project. In the end, we delivered the project on schedule and to our customer’s complete satisfaction. We look back on a pleasant cooperation, thanks in part to good preparation and testing, and clear communication during the installation phase.
